Do you have any other info. on the Palinkas family that you would like to share? I found the ship record for Simon Potolski and his family. Also I found that Symon and Rosina lived at 625 Joslin, Saginaw in 1923 (check city directory). A Helen also lived there.

I wish I had some info to give you on "Palinkas" !! I did see that name on the Apatin Church records (FHL), but at the time I was tracking my grandparents' data and their parents' and so on. Have you tried the Mormon church (FHL) records? Another avenue might be to try to DVHH website, if you haven't tried it yet. The Lookup Volunteer for Apatin provided me with info back to the 1730's on family names: Potolski, Seiler, Kurschner, Fernbach, Kretzinger, Dienst, etc. etc. B.Martin

Beth, Do you have an email address? I can send you some info on the Palinkas/Ballingash family if you would like. Do you have any more information on Rosina and Katherine Siler or is it spelled Seiler? I would be interested in finding out more about their parents, and other siblings. I have recently talked to Ginny LaBelle (about Palinkas) and sent her all the info I had to see if she can add to it. My email is: Ttiano245262MI@comcast.net Thanks, Judy Tiano

I would love to know who helped you in Apatin research. I have been stuck for years. My Grandfather, Adam Schweitzer, was born in Apatin in 1882. He had a brother Franz, & George, and a sister Katherine. The only other info we have on his family is that his mother's name was Teresa. Don't know his dad's first name as he always said "Pa". Only one Aunt left and she can't help as she only knows the dad as Pa. Margaret in Mesa, AZ, born and raised in Detroit. mjbuzaaz@cox.net

Hallo, Brucker is a typicall southern german name, it means: A person who lifes near a bridge. The first Brucker in Apatin was :JOHANN BRUCKER who died 19.11.1811 in the age of 80 years. he was married to a wife Barbara, her maiden name in unknown (that`s rether common in the 18. century!) who died 30.7.1777 in the age of 67 years. this couple are the forefathers of all Bruckers in Apatin, I am sorry but there is no dokument, that proves where this couple originally came from in Germany
