al kut

My son is also stationed in Al-kut...after being there for over a year now. If busch wants to see moral, have him look a kid in the face when he is told the day before coming home that he is to spend another 4 months in iraq...i don't think he would like what he sees

My daughter, as well, was advised just days before the date she was scheduled to redeploy that she would be remaining in Iraq. She probably was disappointed, but she never let on for a second. Instead she realizes the absolute need for continuity of forces in this war, and our family doesn't place blame on President Bush or anyone, except the terrorists, Al Sadr, Osama bin Laden, etc. for her having to stay. Pray and trust God to take care of your son, and be proud of what he's doing for the Iraqi people and all of mankind. The war will either be fought on foreign soil or here. I prefer it be fought on foreign soil.

I am truly sorry that happened to him, but that is something all of us who joined the military have to deal with. I was there in 2003, yeah, it sucked, but I'm the one who signed up for it... Your boy is the same way. He'll be home soon, please don't downgrade our Commander-in-Chief due to your hurt feelings.

My son is a United States Marine stationed in Iraq. I'll live my whole life and never be the man he already is. He turned 21 last week. None of us get to ride for free.
